Our Clinical Supply Operations is responsible for the supply of drug product administered to patients in clinical studies worldwide. In Global Product Development and Supply the team works closely with our partners to deliver quality products safely, efficiently and on time while operationalizing the innovative technologies that will deliver the transformative medicines of tomorrow. Job Description:

The scientist will work on a variety of processes, including the use of state-of-the-art containment and PAT technology. They will supervise in a complex and dynamic organization, working in concert with other members of Clinical Supply Manufacturing to coordinate equipment and manpower requirements. The scientist will participate in the development of procedures and guidelines leading to a clear vision, with short- and long-term goals, for clinical manufacturing planning and management, in alignment of the business goals of Clinical Supply Operations. Additionally, this position will participate in high performing teams which develop strategies for incorporating new technology, improving regulatory compliance, and improving technology transfer within the Bristol-Myers Squibb research and development organization.

The candidate will be responsible for the following operationally based activities:

• Effectively oversee batch execution and supervise technicians to ensure product is made in accordance with pertinent specifications and cGMP requirements.
• Adherence to group master manufacturing schedule and escalation to management when timelines are at risk.
• Generation and review of GMP documentation as necessary, including, batch records, SOPs, Work Instructions, planned deviations, operation alerts, and CAPAs.
• Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure timely release of products.
• Interface with Pharmaceutics R&D to ensure proper technical transfer and scale-up of formulae and processes into Clinical Manufacturing and out to commercial manufacturing.
• Complete batch feedback reports and provide recommendation for process, procedure, and batch record improvements to management.

Requirements:

• B.E./B.S. in Engineering or in a related science field and 5-7 years of experience, M.S. degree and 2-4 years of experience, or PhD and 0-2 years of experience
• 3+ years' experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or formulation required.
• Experience with solid dosage dose manufacturing, cGMPs, and product or process development is preferred.
• The ability to work in a GMP environment and the capability to plan and execute projects is required.
• The successful candidate will have the ability to lead and motivate others, the capability to solve process related problems and the command of effective communication skills.

Compensation Overview:

New Brunswick - NJ - US: $96,940 - $117,472


The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
