Physical Requirements

Moving and lifting objects from floor to above shoulders, standing/walking with objects up to 25 pounds. Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time. Occasional job-related travel.

Primarily Days Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, some Evenings, Weekends are possible

Job Summary

The Messaoudi Lab seeks a highly motivated Scientist I to contribute to cutting-edge research in immunology.

The candidate will independently design and execute experiments focused on organoid culture systems, histopathology techniques, and complex in vitro co-culturing methods. This position requires expertise in aseptic technique and tissue culture, with experience in 3D organoid culture methodologies, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and multiplex immunoassays. The Scientist I will lead troubleshooting efforts for new protocols, analyze complex datasets using statistical software (R studio, GraphPad Prism, FlowJo), and contribute to manuscript preparation and grant writing. Computational proficiency with bioinformatics tools and data visualization software is strongly preferred.

The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, managing aspects of laboratory operations including ordering and inventory control. The ideal candidate will have excellent scientific communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a track record of contributing to peer-reviewed publications.
