Job Summary

The Department is seeking candidates with animal surgery expertise for the UK-Diabetes Prevention COBRE funded grant (2025-2030).

The Scientist II will conduct rodent surgery with training in clamp , GTT, ITT and related procedures, and in vitro analysis of rodent samples as part of the Rodent Phenotyping Core.

Technical experience in ELISAs and other standard biomedical lab techniques is a plus, as is experience in assisting with experimental design in collaboration with the COBRE Data Solutions Core. Data collection, analysis and interpretation will be essential skills with training of core users upon request. Previous success in a related field is required, demonstrated by first author publications, presentations, and similar.

A PhD in biomedical sciences or a related field (non-US MD, etc.) is required.
