Summary/Objective:

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is seeking a Logistics Coordinator with strong interpersonal, administrative, and logistics skills for the 98th Oscars Season and the Academy Museum Gala. This position supports the Awards Production and Events team and requires a detail-oriented, organized, and efficient individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and delivers exceptional customer service.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Input logistical information in the data management system.
  • Execute logistical requests and requirements as directed by the Awards Production and Events Department.
  • Manage special project logistical needs from start to finish.
  • Operate as a point person collecting credential forms, logistics requirements for various departments, and work closely with the production team and vendors.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Awards Production and Special Events team.
  • Ability to work onsite and remotely depending on event schedule.

Required Competencies:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in television, event production, or comparable work environment.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Suite, Dropbox, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to function smoothly and efficiently both individually and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong initiative and ownership of projects, regardless of scope.
  • Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work professionally with other departments and Academy board members.
  • Flexibility to work some nights and weekends, sometimes on short notice.
  • Must not be a current full-time Academy employee.
  • Part-time Academy staff may be eligible for this role if they are able to commit to the seasonal responsibilities for the full duration and it is not in conflict with their regular responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience with Awards Shows and Oscars is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to move up to 30lbs.

Required Vaccination: Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required, including any booster vaccinations as applicable. Exception:Medical and religious accommodations approved by the Office of People & Culture.

Compensation: The expected salary for this role is $25.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
