Responsibilities
Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer at our Dover, NJ location. Our passionate commitment to EHS provides the successful candidate with an excellent environment in which to work and the leadership commitment and support to deliver results. This position is a key member of the location’s EHS team and is highly visible position in the plant and Business Unit. The position provides an excellent platform for potential future growth to the successful candidate.
Howmet Engines is a world-class producer of aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, including airfoils, rings, disks and forgings. We excel in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts that enable the next generation of quieter, more fuel-efficient aero engines and cleaner power generation.
Anticipated Pay Range: $75k-$90k per year. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.
JOB SUMMARYControl and administer the External Financial reporting activities for Howmet Dover Casting. In addition, assure that all General Accounting transactions are done on a timely basis and are conducted in a proper manner.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES- Expected to assist in the implementation of Alcoa/Howmet’s EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.
- Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Report all job related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook).
- Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Attend all EH&S training.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions
- Administer and conduct all Accounting activities relating to Capital Assets.
- Direct and guide the Financial reporting of the Payroll area.
- Control the monthly Account Analysis of all Balance Sheet elements.
- Report the monthly financial statements which includes the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Summary of Reserves, Source and use of Funds. Cash Forecast.
- Control and the issuance of the yearly audits, top and tax package.
- Provide various information and issue various reports relating to the Yearly Budget.
- Long Range Plan preparation.
- Provide and issue all insurance reports as required.
- Prepare all Government reports on an annual basis.
- Assist Division Controller as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder')
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- 5-7 years’ experience in general accounting.
