American Express Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) operates around the world with one goal in mind: provide a bespoke and seamless experience for our Card Members and hundreds of travel partners. The Team:
The Global Strategic Partnerships and Marketing (GPM) team has a strategic focus within TLS by driving customer engagement, loyalty, and satisfaction by providing value to our card members by effective collaboration with our partners (Air, lodging and many more). We closely monitor leadership KPIs, performance of our partners and the usage of the benefits offered.
The Role:
The Sr Analyst – TLS Business Analytics & Reporting, will play a pivotal role in driving meaningful improvements in business value by harnessing next-gen reporting, enhanced data integration and delivering proactive, actionable insights that will shape our future. Strong analytical skills and a passion for deeply understanding our TLS customers, as well as evaluating TLS performance across programs, partners, and key initiatives.
How will you make an impact in this role?
- Lead end-to-end analytics and reporting development, from assessing business needs and defining vision to delivering intuitive, comprehensive dashboards and reports leveraging both TLS and non-TLS data.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights, employing advanced analytics, visualization, and data storytelling to inform leadership decisions and influence strategic priorities.
- Develop and manage a robust reporting pipeline, ensuring prioritization, automation (crontab), and continuous enhancement of BI solutions to meet evolving business objectives.
- Drive innovation through analytical problem-solving, navigating ambiguity to design and implement scalable, forward-looking analytics solutions that address complex business challenges.
- Leverage enterprise AI capabilities to drive efficiency and innovation
- Leverage Lodging analytics to uncover opportunities that support TLS priorities and elevate the Card Member experience.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration, aligning closely with enterprise teams and partners to deliver customized analytics and best-in-class reporting that support business growth.
- Ensure analytical rigor and operational excellence, through data validation, documentation, and best practices in visualization, extraction, and summarization.
- Independently manage complex projects, demonstrating agility, attention to detail, and effective stakeholder engagement across senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in a quantitative field (data analytics, statistics, mathematics, economics, etc.)
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in data analytics
- Self-starter, ability to drive insights from data, provide action steps and drive results in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative thinker with ability to learn quickly and navigate through unstructured problems
- Ability to integrate with cross-functional global business partners
- Good programming skills
- Knowledge of SQL, Python and Visual BI (Tableau/PowerBI)
- Knowledge of MS Office – PowerPoint, Excel
- Knowledge of travel industry is a plus
Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
