How will you make an impact in this role?

Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions (EDDS) Organization within the Enterprise Services Group is a dynamic environment of digital product and analytics professionals that drive significant value for American Express through innovative solutions. Enterprise Acquisition Products & Platforms (EAPP) is part of the larger EDDS organization with the core purpose to drive continuous, efficient revenue growth through seamless acquisition & new accounts onboarding experiences.

Our Team: Process Monitoring & Data Operations (PMDO)

PMDO is responsible for managing and governing digital acquisition data from application capture. The team supports various initiatives to empower our business unit with accurate, reliable, and accessible data to drive business success, while ensuring compliance with data regulations, promoting data understanding, and minimizing operational risk

This role will work across multiple domains of data risk simultaneously supporting data pulls, audit requests, risk identification and mitigation strategies, and participating in broader data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate is skilled in SQL, understands risk management principles, and demonstrates strong project coordination and communication skills.

As a Senior Analyst on the team, you will:

  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data profiling, issue investigation, and reporting.
  • Participate in enterprise data governance activities, including control design, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Support the identification, documentation, and mitigation of data-related risks across business processes.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks while remaining flexible to changing priorities and ambiguous scenarios.
  • Collaborate with product, risk, compliance, and audit teams to fulfill data-related requests, including ad-hoc data pulls and structured reporting.
  • Assist in project planning, tracking milestones, and coordinating deliverables for data governance and data risk initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field
  • 2+ Years of experience in a data analysis leveraging SQL or Python, demonstrating a track record of delivering actionable insights
  • Solid understanding of data risk concepts and willingness to work with data risk mitigation strategies.
  • Leadership potential with a proactive and accountable approach to ownership and delivery.
  • Delivery of impactful communications (clear, concise & meaningful - both written and oral) for multiple audiences.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous situations with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Familiarity with Archer platform is a plus

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
