Job Description

American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payments provider for businesses of all sizes, with Small Business representing our largest customer segment and a continued area of strategic investment. Within GCS, the Small Business Marketing Team drives acquisition and customer engagement across Charge Cards, Proprietary Lending, Co-Brand Cards, and Small Business Banking products.

The Senior Analyst, Partnership Marketing will play a critical role in elevating the Premium Small Business Card Member experience. This individual will lead end-to-end digital engagement strategy and execution across Email, Direct Mail, Paid Media, Amex.com, and the Amex App — ensuring our partner benefits are not only understood but experienced as essential to how our customers run and grow their businesses.

Within the Product Engagement team, this role blends strategic and critical thinking with executional excellence. By leveraging data, customer insights, and a robust Test & Learn agenda, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for executing a cohesive engagement strategy focused on our marquee embedded benefit partners, including Dell, Adobe, ChatGPT, Indeed & Hilton. This includes an ongoing test & learn agenda that drives enrollments and helps customers take advantage of the right partner benefits (e.g. available credits) at the most optimal time. In addition, the Senior Analyst will execute marketing for new partner benefit launches, while delivering on contractual commitments.

The ideal candidate is a digitally savvy marketer energized by cross-enterprise collaboration and comfortable operating in a complex, matrixed organization. This role partners closely with Product Management, Legal, Compliance, Marketing Operations, Analytics, and agency teams to deliver integrated campaigns and support go-to-market launches with precision and impact.

This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape how partner value is communicated, experienced, and reinforced across our most important customer touchpoints.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of the Partner Benefit experience, activating personalized journeys across email, direct mail, paid media, Amex.com, and the Amex App.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to bring joint value propositions to life through compelling, customer-centric marketing.
  • Develop and execute digital strategies from insight generation and content mapping through targeting, creative briefing, legal alignment, and deployment.
  • Drive personalization and Test & Learn initiatives, advancing segmentation, A/B testing, and ongoing performance optimization.
  • Orchestrate seamless cross-channel experiences that reinforce Partner value, increase benefit engagement, and support retention.
  • Own performance measurement and partner reporting and translate insights into actionable strategies that deliver measurable business impact.
  • Contribute innovative ideas that elevate Partner benefits and influence broader portfolio strategy.
  • Foster team excellence by sharing best practices and contributing to a high-performing culture.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in digital or lifecycle marketing with a proven ability to drive measurable engagement and retention.
  • Expertise in email marketing and cross-channel activation across web and app environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience influencing cross-functional partners.
  • Experience leading personalization and Test & Learn frameworks to optimize marketing performance.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
