How will you make an impact in this role?

Senior Analyst-Risk Management

  • Positions in Credit & Fraud Risk lead the development of credit, operational, enterprise, and fraud policies designed to profitably grow the portfolio while ensuring an excellent customer experience. These policies utilize mathematical models and other techniques to understand and predict customer behavior.
  • The Customer Management function is responsible for building risk strategies for Line Suspension and Closure, Credit Line Decrease and Rightsizing, and Proactive Financial Gathering for the Blueprint Business Line of Credit (BLOC) portfolio. The team works closely with partners in Product, Operations, Technology, Data Science and other Risk teams to implement, manage, and improve the outcomes of the aforementioned strategies. There is a strong focus on driving synergies between the Customer Management functions across the BLOC and the Card business to effectively control credit losses and ensure consistency in actions across the affiliate companies.

    In this role, you can expect to:

  • Gather, transform, and analyze data to draw conclusions and make business decisions
  • Define a roadmap for, drive critical initiatives on, and enhance strategies for BLOC Responsible Lending Actions to reduce losses on the portfolio
  • Develop systems and processes for effective risk assessment of businesses through proactive gathering of financials & re-underwriting
  • Monitor portfolio performance and conduct deep dives into delinquent accounts to identify improvement opportunities across the product lifecycle
  • Work closely with partners across various business units to implement changes on risk strategies

    Qualifications:

  • Education: a bachelor's or master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance/Economics or a related quantitative field is required; a master's degree is a plus
  • Experience: 2+ years of credit-related analytics experience, preferably in a risk management context
  • Relevant Knowledge: understanding of US consumer or commercial lending and credit risk management practices; experience with business loans, personal loans, mortgage lending, or credit cards is a plus; understanding of statistical concepts is a plus
  • Technical Skills: SQL is required; experience with spreadsheet and data analysis tools (preferably Microsoft Excel) is required; Python, R, or another language suited towards data analysis is a plus; experience with PowerBI is a plus
  • Soft Skills: ability to think logically, critically, and constructively about complex problems; clearly communicate findings; and propose solutions that address expressed needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with internal and external teams

Salary Range: $78,000.00 to $124,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
