Job Description
The Senior Application Analyst leads full-lifecycle technology projects in support of the academic and administrative needs of the Harvard Law School community. The Analyst plays a key role in helping to drive business process change, to promote strong customer service and streamlined organizational workflows. An additional key focus is helping to design and implement technical solutions, performing hands-on configuration within our vendor platforms. The successful candidate will thrive in a nimble, Agile project environment, enjoy working directly with our business partners, and be comfortable moving between technologies based on business requirements and emerging trends.
As a Senior Application Analyst, you will:
- Assist with business process analysis workshops, to support the implementation of improved, efficient solutions
- Partner with clients to develop effective, prioritized user story requirements
- Manage vendor engagements, including negotiation of statements of work
- Lead implementations, utilizing iterative, Agile methodologies, to ensure the highest value is delivered to the Client, within the resources allocated
- Identify, analyze and mitigate project risks
- Assist in designing solutions to business requirements
- Manage client relationships and expectations with a clear, timely communication process
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve bugs
- Support the quality assurance team during testing phases
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience
Additional Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for people with:
- Strong client consulting skills, with ability to work with diverse technical and non-technical clients
- Experience implementing projects via iterative methodologies, such as Agile/Scrum
- Ability to effectively influence project team and stakeholders through clearly stated objectives and plans
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with techniques for identifying project risks, and developing mitigation plans
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Excellent organizational skills, including time management and ability to prioritize multiple, simultaneous requests
- Strong team player with a positive attitude, and committed to the success of the overall team
- Ability to accept and act on constructive feedback

Work Format Details
This is a position that is based at a Harvard campus location with some remote work options available. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed within one of the Harvard Registered Payroll States, which currently includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington, and California (CA for exempt positions only). Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
