American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payment card issuer for corporations and small businesses with products and services to help them run and grow their business. Within GCS, the GCS and Enterprise Solutions team leads product development on a robust portfolio of products and capabilities for our small business and corporate customers. The team also leads product design and research across GCS as well as business development initiatives to support our banking scale.
Your Mission:
Serve as a Product Owner and thought leader for our Global Commercial Services Mobile Product Vision and Roadmap including integrating experiences for small business users and evolving our middle market solutions to help deliver the best digital experiences to our customers. You will be responsible for supporting and driving the GCS Mobile Product roadmaps in partnership with the relevant Business Product teams and Enterprise Digital partners. You will help define best practices for our mobile apps and find opportunities for product interoperability or product connectivity (creating connected experiences across GCS products). The ideal candidate will have experience working on or with mobile apps and be invested in creating intuitive mobile app experiences for American Express commercial customers.
How will you make an impact in this role?
- Help evolve our mobile strategy for Business users at American Express in partnership with product management leadership and departmental partners, aligning with overall enterprise goals and customer needs
- Assist in program managing initiatives related to mobile to work across multiple teams and partners to deliver efficiently
- Planning and delivering a product backlog, prioritizing stories, and shipping high-quality, functional software with the help of a cross-functional team
- Collaborating with external and internal partners to define functionality. Documenting epics, business rules, use cases, and process flows
- Partnering on discovery with business subject matter experts and UX designers to grow revenue, improve customer experience, and differentiate our products
- Work closely with product, UX, marketing, and strategy teams to stay informed on goals, strategies, and ongoing efforts
- Help lead on researching and documenting requirements via User Stories and Epics
- Assist product manager(s) in defining product strategy for a specific area of the business

Minimum Qualifications:
- 1+ years working on a mobile app
- 1+ years product development experience
- Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Solid understanding of mobile app standard methodologies
- Passion for mobile apps in personal and work life
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Unabashed question asker; willing to learn anything needed to get things done
- Proficiency with Excel, Confluence and project management applications including Jira or Rally
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in FinTech industry
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
