The Role
The Fidelity Institutional Wealth Management Services group is looking for top, software engineer in test talent with a passion for crafting and delivering software solutions to align with its diverse, globally distributed team of IT professionals responsible for the development and maintenance of IWMS client platforms and offerings.
In this role you will use your knowledge of quality engineering, software development, platform integration, and cloud computing to modernize a diverse suite of applications that support our intermediary (clearing and custody) business! You will be collaborating with product management, architecture, engineering, and technology partners to innovate, design, and deliver highly scalable applications and platforms using Agile methodologies.
The Team
The IWMS Platform & Technology domain is within the Fund and Brokerage Operations & Technology division. IWMS exists to enable our business partners to win their respective marketplaces by crafting, building, and maintaining the technology platforms and products of Fidelity’s Institutional business units. The Account Authorization and Search squad works with the Operations Experience and Platform Foundations product area supporting modernization of legacy capabilities.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelor's, master’s degree, or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field

6+ years of relevant quality engineering experience in an automated testing environment building strong automation for WebServices (REST APIs) and web-based applications

Strong expertise in automation tools Selenium, Cucumber Serenity, Python, RestAssured, Karate; nice to have code coverage tools such as Sonar and SeaLights

Strong expertise with the following desired skills: Java/JEE, Spring/Springboot, RESTful Services, Cloud (AWS), SQL, NoSQL, Python, Test and Deployment technologies, Kubernetes

Experience with API design & development in an AWS (Cloud) Migration, Data Design, Batch Processing, Workflow/Process Automation and UI

Cloud skills working with AWS EKS/ECS and AWS handled solutions such as Lambda, SQS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch and IAM roles/polices

Understanding of QA engineering, analysis, TDD and BDD concepts, defect tracking tools and processes

Experience using logging/observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk and ELK Stack

Knowledge in creating mock services

Solid CI/CD skills including full scale security and quality testing, build and deployment automation

Good analytical, communication and preparation skills and the ability to run with multiple tasks at a given time

Experience with data analysis tools and techniques as well as test data management

Proficient with Agile methodologies

Drive the team’s commitment to high quality defining and implementing test strategies, scenarios and steps for automated integrated testing

Actively work to improve quality engineering practices such as code and design reviews, source control strategy, environment strategy, testing automation and CI/CD pipelines

Work with product owners, peer technologists and architects as required to deliver quality technical improvements to the platform

Provide technical guidance/coaching to analysts and developers on quality adherence to governance gates and quality tasks

Develop an understanding of the business domain and actively participate in technology discussions with partners
Please see the below pay rate range for the work location of Rhode Island only: $60.00-88.39 per hour.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
