Job Description:

The Role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will join a team of passionate Health & Welfare professionals committed to crafting business requirements that are crucial to our ability to serve as a directed record keeper for our plan sponsors. You will serve as requirements expert and are responsible for providing all business analysis support in an Agile environment for client advised projects to ensure that the systems are functioning according to the detailed business requirements. Your interactions with the team will model Fidelity leadership principles to sustain an agile innovative culture and build a positive environment for your squad.

The Expertise and Skills

  • Education
    • BS or BA Required
  • Experience:
    • 5 – 7 years of Business Analysis experience required
    • At least 5 years of direct experience with Health & Welfare Annual Enrollment
    • 5 – 7 of experience in Health & Welfare benefits outsourcing with exposure to flexible benefits, benefits outsourcing record keeping system configuration and implementation
  • The ability to critically analyze complex business requirements/product issues
  • Proven understanding of Fidelity’s end to end business process life cycle, data process flows, and plan level provisions is desired
  • Proficient understanding of core product mechanics, record keeping systems and regulatory environment
  • Critical thinking skills and initiative; ability to think across Agile Squads and product categories
  • Ability to function at a high level in an exciting Agile work environment
  • Strong technical skills and an ability to apply them in an analytical process
  • Strong organizational skills to define and meet deadlines within an Agile squad structure
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access

The Value You Deliver

  • Partner with the Client delivery Portfolio Manager and Healthcare Program Managers to understand the goals and the work for each sprint
  • Define and analyze complex client requirement changes for Annual Enrollment and Ongoing Projects
  • Perform complex data analysis and reporting for effective client decisions
  • Proactively Identify problems with business requirements and recommend modifications to the functional solution which may impact the system design
  • Assist with defining test scenarios for Systems Acceptance Testing and support Business Acceptance testing activities
  • Perform root cause analysis when issues arise before and after code migrations
  • Assist with training, mentoring and coaching new associates.
