Job Description:

The Role

As a Senior Business Analyst with a product delivery team, you will help lead initiatives with diverse scope and complexity, acting as the interface between business practitioners, customers, and product delivery teams following guidelines for business analysis best practices. You will collaborate closely with a group of cross-functional team members who are responsible for delivering solutions and achieving business objectives through a shared product partnership. You will work with business partners to gather and assess complex business requirements and translate strategy into executable solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Knowledge of fund holdings and Fund Accounting data preffered.

  • Knowledge of fund performance and Performance Attribution data prefered.

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems

  • A minimum of three to five years of related experience; Financial Services experience preferred

  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of tools and techniques for presenting and analyzing data including; SQL, Access, Excel, and relational databases

  • A self-starter and excellent team member who is independent, collaborative, and can work with minimum supervision

  • Demonstrable expertise in various business analysis methodologies and techniques, including data analysis, use case development, story writing, testing, and product documentation

  • Affinity for data; where to get it, how to use it, what it means

  • A highly curious and motivated learner with strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Communicates clearly, concisely and impactfully to influence others

  • Approaches work with an open mind and sense of creativity by challenging current practices and recommending improvements

  • Ability to navigate through ambiguous circumstances and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability

  • Growth mentality with a passion for continuous learning and development

  • Able to understand the technology and software architecture of an application

  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills

The Team

The Business Unit: Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling, reporting and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing fund liquidity.
