
Senior Catalyst (Facilitator)
About the role
We are looking for candidates who can start before February 9th. Additionally, the first month of this position will involve heavy travel. Please note any availability concerns in your application.
The Senior Catalyst (Facilitator) will work with leaders and teams across various social sectors to assist them in driving collaborative systems change through the use of RE!NSTITUTE’s systems change initiatives, including most notably, the 100-Day Challenge. The position will require developing the most appropriate method to meet the needs of clients, coaching community teams, facilitating workshops, and generating learning products from each project. The majority of projects in 2026 will focus on housing and homelessness, with additional projects also related to health and education. The Senior Catalyst will work remotely and report to the US Director.

Frequent travel (>40%) is required to support teams, as well as for RE!NSTITUTE’s annual all-team retreat. Preference will be given to candidates residing near major airports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitation, Training, and Coaching of System Change initiatives (50%):
- Adapt template engagement methodologies for each community’s context, including 100-Day Challenges, Spreading Innovation and Learning Networks
- Effectively manage implementation issues, relationship dynamics, competing agendas, and political potholes for each community.
- Lay the groundwork for the successful implementation of community engagement, including engaging leadership, understanding and adapting to the local context, and maintaining a central role in ongoing relationships with senior leadership.
- Facilitate RE!NSTITUTE System Change initiatives workshops in an engaging and results-driven manner and support teams through the design, implementation, and sustainability of their specific community engagement.
- Coach teams in a way that ensures that optimal results are achieved, with a strong focus on ensuring increased well-being, collaboration, and shifts in power to frontline staff.
- Develop and deliver leadership sessions to keep leadership engaged, as well as to shift perspective, opening up possibilities for future frontline decision-making and innovation.
- Provide and receive feedback on internal workshop facilitation and coaching skills to and from colleagues.
- Work closely with the US Director to ensure that relevant data, insights, and other information are collected and shared on a regular basis.
Contractor management (10%)
- Lead the training of contractor Catalysts, with support from the US Director and the US Associate Director.
- Ensure that contractors deliver high-quality work, fully understand and are comfortable with the curriculum, and receive regular feedback and support.
Project management (20%)
- Work with the US Associate Director to create timelines and organize tasks for complex projects, and establish systems to ensure deliverables are met both within communities and with colleagues.
- Track and report activities and expenses on internal platforms and report to the US Associate Director.
- Manage logistics for the implementation of community engagements in collaboration with the US Associate Director.
Project building and communication (10%)
- Contribute to the development of proposals for follow-up engagements.
- Generate future work through positive communication with leadership.
- Present at webinars and conferences
- Write detailed and clear reports on communities’ progress and learning
Organization-wide Support (10%)
- Support RE!NSTITUTE team members on projects and operations as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the US Director and other staff to identify, share, implement, and continuously improve effective facilitation practices and core components of the methodologies.
- Participate in organizational working groups as needed to help meet strategic goals (equity, practice, etc).

Compenstation & Benefits
Salary: $81,230 USD/year
