We are seeking a Senior Claims Analyst with strong commercial claims experience to join our Risk Management team. This individual will play a critical role in managing AutoNation’s claims portfolio, ensuring efficient resolution, cost control, and compliance across multiple lines of coverage.

This is a dynamic opportunity to work cross-functionally with field operations, legal, HR, and external partners, while contributing directly to our risk mitigation strategy and business continuity efforts.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage end-to-end handling of general liability, auto liability, property, and workers’ compensation claims

  • Analyze incident reports, claims data, and loss trends to identify root causes and recommend actionable risk mitigation strategies

  • Serve as a key liaison with third-party administrators (TPAs), insurance carriers, attorneys, and internal stakeholders to drive timely and cost-effective claim resolutions

  • Ensure all claims are accurately documented, reserved, and reported in accordance with internal protocols and applicable regulatory standards

  • Monitor and manage open claim inventory to ensure timely closure and expense control

  • Support and participate in TPA claim reviews, audits, and performance evaluations

  • Provide regular claim updates, dashboards, and executive summaries to senior leadership and business partners

  • Assist in the coordination of litigation matters, working closely with in-house and outside counsel

  • Stay current on changes in laws, regulations, and best practices in claims handling, risk management, and insurance

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field preferred

  • 3–5 years of hands-on commercial claims experience; automotive, retail, or multi-location operational experience is a plus

  • Deep understanding of insurance coverages, claims handling practices, and legal processes

  • Proven success working with TPAs, insurers, and legal teams

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an ability to interpret data and translate insights into action

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset

  • High level of discretion when handling sensitive information

  • Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Professional certifications (ARM, AIC, CPCU) preferred
