
Senior Cloud Engineer (Docker, CICD, AWS)
Job Description:
The Prime Brokerage Team, within Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT), is seeking 'Software Engineer' to join the team to help build and maintain high quality product and solutions to enable custody business. We are looking for a person who has hands-on software engineering experience building cloud-based systems using modern, scalable, resilient, Cloud native architectures (Containers and Serverless). This role will involve partner & stakeholder engagement, design, release support and production support. In this role, you will be an integral part of the prime brokerage team where you’ll get the opportunity to develop your skills, collaborate across Fidelity teams and continue to learn in a fun, collaborative, iterative, and rapidly changing environment.
The Role
This role will act as the Platform Engineer/SRE for PBO/Prime. Your primary goal will be the simplify and expedite the DevOps processes for current businesses. You will also work closely with early-stage teams on design and initial setup.
Develop and maintain tools and processes for spinning/maintaining multiple environments for current team.
Own the relationships between Prime and Fidelity's core DevOps and Infrastructure teams as well as key 3rd party vendors.
Build and maintain documentation for the Deployment/Infrastructure processes.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
This role requires deep technical expertise in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS. Provisioning and maintaining cloud infrastructure at Fidelity requires coordination across numerous technology groups and a strong awareness of the industry specific governance and security considerations.
Develop strong working relationships across development teams and the broader Infrastructure/DevOps organizations.
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), having managed services and applications in a large AWS cross-account environment using IAM and federated SSO.
Experience in deploying and maintaining highly available, scalable, distributed systems in a Microservices based architecture.
A solid grasp of development, automation, and monitoring tools and practices. With the tools that include Datadog, Terraform, Grafana, Bash, GitHub, Akamai
Experience with a programming language, including Python, Scala, or Java
Working knowledge of Containerization, network protocols, encryption, and security.
Ability to quickly grasp Fidelity-specific deployment standards, patterns, and internal controls.
Strong written communication, particularly technical documentation.
Familiarity with Fidelity operations and tools such as Venafi, SecureTrak, ServiceNow, Jira, Cloudability, Power BI, Grafana.
