Fidelity Investments is seeking a Cloud Engineer with strong software engineering and SRE ownership experience to operate and modernize mission?critical, regulated cloud platforms supporting enterprise digital operations and financial systems.

This role owns production environments end?to?end, supporting systems tied to financial statements, regulatory compliance, and long?term WORM?compliant data retention. The engineer will operate in a highly regulated environment with 30+ active SLAs, strict audit requirements, and high availability expectations. This is not traditional production support it is a platform ownership role focused on cloud modernization, intelligent automation, and AI?enabled operational excellence.



Responsibilities

• Own and operate critical production cloud platforms in AWS

• Participate in a rotational 24x7 on?call schedule supporting Sev?1/Sev?2 incidents

• Meet and exceed 30+ SLAs covering availability, MTTR, performance, and compliance

• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post?incident remediation

• Engineer resilient, observable, and self?healing systems using SRE best practices

• Drive cloud modernization, automation, and platform improvements

• Partner with Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to meet regulatory obligations

• Troubleshoot complex issues under pressure with disciplined execution

• Technology & Skills

• AWS: EC2, VPC, S3 (WORM), IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, EKS, ELB, Lambda

• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Opentofu, Ansible

• Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm / Helm OCI

• Programming: Java, Python, Bash, PowerShell, Golang

• Observability: Monitoring, logging, alerting, SLA?driven dashboards

• DevSecOps & Security: Wiz, vulnerability management, dependency updates (Mend Renovate)

• Modernization: OpenRewrite / Moderne (Spring Boot upgrades)

• FinOps: ScaleOps, CloudBolt

AI?Driven SRE (Plus):
Lumin8 GenAI / LLM with RAG
AI?assisted incident response, alert triage, automated remediation

Nice to Have
Exposure to mainframe systems (CICS knowledge a plus)
Willingness to learn basic mainframe navigation

Please see the below pay rate range for the work location of Merrimack, NH only: $80.00-105.00 per hour.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
