Senior Data Engineer
The Role
As a business-side Data Engineer, you will be responsible for translating business processes such as transaction workflows and contact center activities into scalable data solutions that facilitate data-driven decision making by the organization. Tasks include capturing business and technical requirements, modeling data, and building data pipelines that collect, transform, and load data. Daily activities will include monitoring the execution of ETL solutions in SQL Server and Snowflake and performing pipeline repair as needed.

- Strong working experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake).
- Proficient with SQL and writing sophisticated queries.
- Experience with data visualization or analytics tools like PowerBI, Tableau, SSAS, etc.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipeline concepts.
- An understanding of data modeling, especially star schema dimensional models.
- Knowledge of Fidelity work management tools, data stores and reference systems (XTRAC, Salesforce, Genesys, WIA, PPMC, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with ELT/ETL data integration, orchestration, or scheduling tools such as SSIS, Informatica or Control M.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative / technical field such as Data or Business Analytics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
The Team
Global Workforce Optimization (GWO) is a Shared Services team within Workplace Investing (WI) that provides staffing, forecasting, and process efficiency analytics across all levels of the WI organization. Within GWO, The Data Infrastructure and Architecture team maintains the data foundation that delivers all metrics required for daily business management, long-term planning, and key decision making. We also work with partners across the business to support their data needs, along with Enterprise Technology and their efforts to build out the Enterprise Analytics Platform.
