The Role
This is a Senior Data Engineer position for a development chapter in FI Data Solutions (Product & Business Enablement domain). Looking for a hardworking, highly motivated developer with strong expertise in analyzing existing solutions, designing new solutions and helping team members in building robust and scalable solutions using Java Spring Batch, Python, AWS, Oracle, and Snowflake.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technology field (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) with 8+ years of data engineering experience
- 4+ years of Java development with Spring; strong Spring Batch experience
- 2+ years developing AWS-based applications (AWS Batch, S3, IAM)
- 3+ years SQL experience (ANSI SQL, Oracle, Snowflake)
- 2+ years Python development
- Unix shell scripting (bash, ksh) and scheduling/orchestration tools (Control‑M)
- Strong data modeling in 3NF and Star Schema
- Solid data analysis skills; comfortable navigating complex data environments
- Experience with SQL performance tuning
- DevOps/CI/CD experience (Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Agile experience (Kanban, SCRUM)
- Docker/containerization experience
- Financial services industry experience a plus
- Proven ability to handle ambiguity and work independently or collaboratively in fast‑paced settings
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross‑team collaboration

The Team
You will be part of a team collaborating on a Client Infrastructure initiative in the Intermediary business that will modernize the FI data infrastructure to power the growth of vitality products. You will be part of a dedicated data squad partnering with data stewards and CRM partners to execute various workstreams that involve analysis, end-to-end design and integration of business events such as mergers, acquisitions, client on-boarding and offboarding, advisor movements, data quality improvements. These events will have to systematically integrated and automated in data pipelines. Being part of this highly visible workstream, we will need independent thinkers and problem solvers to deliver timely, data-driven coverage planning while reducing manual intervention and improving alignment across platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and fall in love with the problem at hand, working through systems analysis and team collaborations to solve it.
