Senior Enterprise DeveloperUIW MissionPosition SummaryThe Senior Enterprise Developer provides advanced technical support for the university's Banner ERP systems, data integrations, and API development initiatives. This role executes technical solutions through scripting, API development, and database programming to support Banner modernization efforts and vendor implementations across the university. The Senior Enterprise Developer reports to the Assistant Director of Enterprise Data Systems.Essential FunctionsJob DutiesKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and with cross-functional teams.• Excellent critical thinking, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to effectively set priorities, assign tasks, set deadlines, and coordinate projects.• Ability to effectively work under stress and to meet deadlines.• Ability to effectively learn business processes in order to analyze needs and implement effective solutions.• Excellent proficiency in translating business requirements into system concepts, workflow diagrams, functional and technical specifications.• Strong proficiency in document scanning and imaging, and workflow tools.• Strong Oracle database skills, including query optimization and data modeling.• Proficiency with ETL/ELT processes and data transformation.• Knowledge of version control systems.• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.Required EducationBachelor's Degree in the field of Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.Required Work Experience• Three (3) years of experience in ERP systems development or enterprise integration to include:• Advanced Python scripting and development skills with demonstrated ability to build APIs and automation solutions,• Advanced PL/SQL programming skills, including procedures, functions, packages, and performance optimization,• Advanced RESTful API development and web services integration, and• Advanced skills in using report writing software to meet business objectives.• Three (3) years of hands-on experience with Ellucian Banner or similar higher education ERP systems.Preferred Qualifications• Experience in higher education IT environments.• Banner 9 experience or Ellucian Ethos Integration platform exposure.• Familiarity with additional scripting languages (PowerShell, JavaScript, Shell).• Experience with API management platforms and microservices architecture.• Cloud platform development experience (AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud).• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.• Knowledge of Git version control system.• Experience with integration middleware tools (Dell Boomi, Mulesoft, etc.).• Understanding of data governance and security best practices.• Exposure to agile development methodologies.Required Certifications, Licenses or RegistrationsN/A.Work HoursMonday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed, especially during peak periods, to meet departmental goals. This may include some weekend work.Physical Demands• Ability to actively engage in troubleshooting activities for extended periods of time.• Ability to regularly move about main campus to provide customer support services as needed throughout the day.
