
Senior Full Stack Engineer - (APIs/Java Spring Boot/Spark)
Job Description:
The Role
This is a Senior Full Stack Engineer position within the Performance Measurement & Analysis team in the FIT Product Area. We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer with strong expertise in designing and developing high-performance API applications. You will build scalable batch processing systems capable of handling large datasets and thousands of transactions using technologies such as Apache Spark and Scala, and develop robust APIs with Java and Spring Boot.
You will work in cloud environments, primarily AWS, creating infrastructure using CloudFormation templates and leveraging services like IAM, SNS, and S3. You will automate testing, deployment, and release processes using DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, uDeploy, and AWS CloudFormation.
In this role, you will lead engineering efforts to deliver quality software components for investment performance and analytics for retail managed account products. You will build, modernize, and maintain web applications, adopt cloud-native technologies, and help define development practices and standards.
This position is based in Smithfield, RI.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
8+ years of full stack development experience in Java/Spring Boot based applications.
API design and authentication/authorization.
Experience building scalable batch processing systems using Apache Spark and Scala to handle large datasets and high-volume transactions.
AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform).
Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
SQL and database interaction for analytics and validation.
Agile SDLC, TDD, and BDD practices.
Source control with Git (Bitbucket).
CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
Test automation and static code analysis.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch)
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
