The Team

The IWMS Platform & Technology domain is part of the Fund and Brokerage Operations & Technology division, supporting Fidelity’s Institutional business units through robust and scalable technology platforms.

Our team, as part of the Center of Excellence (COE), is committed to delivering reliable and high‑performing solutions for our clients. We support a wide range of distributed and mainframe applications across critical product areas, including Intermediary Billing, Transmissions, WealthScape services, Cash Management, Retirement, Generic Rules Engine (GRE), Managed‑Accounts, and Client Implementations.

Our focus is on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and ensuring seamless client experiences across these platforms.The Role

The Fidelity Institutional Wealth Management Services (IWMS) group is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer – Production Support to help maintain and enhance the stability, performance, and reliability of IWMS client platforms and offerings.

In this role, you will apply strong technical expertise across mainframe and distributed systems to support the seamless operation of mission‑critical applications that power our intermediary (clearing and custody) business. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, and business partners to resolve incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement improvements that prevent recurrence.

You will contribute to the evolution of support and reliability practices, strengthen observability and monitoring across platforms, and help guide best practices that improve system resilience, operational efficiency, and overall client experience.

As a member of this squad, the person will be responsible for the following set of activities daily:

  • Dedicated to complete assigned work along with technical and functional analysis

  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment

  • Provide daily support and triage of production issues and research items

  • Code software changes associated with defects, performance improvements and modernization

  • Actively support and perform all phases of testing leading to implementation and automation

  • Attend agile daily standup meetings and ceremonies along with maintaining assigned Jira tasks

  • Partnership oriented working within a squad across shores and regions

  • Supply to comprehensive documentation for applications and knowledge bases

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Participate in oncall rotation with onshore team (10:00 AM EST to 10:00 PM EST)

Expertise and Skills You Bring:

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree or higher and possess 5-7 years of working experience; Investment/financial services and/or brokerage industry experience is desired.
