Job Title: Senior Manager, Asset Management Treasurer’s Office - Tax Oversight

The Role

As a Senior Manager of Tax Oversight in Asset Management’s Treasurer’s Office, you will be responsible for overseeing the tax reclaim process of the Fidelity retail and institutional funds and monitoring operational controls. You will have oversight of the tax reclaim and reconciliation operations teams and coordinate the activities of third-party service providers. You will think and work across Fidelity, partnering with Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations and with third-party service providers that assist with tax reclaims. You will also have the opportunity to assist in the development and implementation of tax policies for the mutual funds and alternative investment products and to assist in the evaluation of tax implications of complex securities and complex events impacting the funds/products.

The Expertise And Skill You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 6 years industry or equivalent experience, including experience with tax reclaims
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to accuracy, quality and completion of tasks
  • Excellent organizational and project/process and relationship management skills
  • Technical knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations and other Tax Authority related to mutual funds and/or alternative investment products is a plus
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to apply sound judgment to spot issues, assess risks, and identify items requiring attention
  • Unwavering commitment to accuracy, quality, and completion of tasks
  • Possess excellent organizational, operations, and project/process management skills
  • Possess strong research and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/initiatives and handle time-sensitive activities

The Team

The Asset Management Treasurer’s Office provides fiduciary oversight of Fidelity’s funds, shareholder activity, and service providers. We use industry knowledge, technical experience, and our responsibility as fiduciaries to set and monitor adherence to fund policies, and we support the Funds’ Boards of Trustees in fulfilling their responsibilities to the Fidelity Mutual Funds. In addition to overseeing Fidelity’s existing products, we also actively support Asset Management’s efforts to expand investment capabilities by ensuring appropriate oversight is in place for new products prior to implementation.

The base salary range for this position is $89,000-180,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
