The Enterprise Acquisition Products and Platforms (EAPP) team operates with mission to create customer centric digital experiences and drive enterprise value powered by unified, integrated solutions and scale of expertise. Charter is to drive scale for the business and accelerate innovation for both immediate impact as well as long-term transformation of our business. A unique aspect of EAPP is the integration of diverse skills across all its remits.

The Acquisition Analytics team within the broader Enterprise Digital Experimentation & Analytics (EDEA) team in EAPP supports optimization of our acquisition experiences (Shop, Member Get Member, Apply, Global Post-Approval, etc.) through insights and experimentation. The team specializes in using data driven insights and best experimentation practices around digital product usage to drive improvements in customer experience, to deliver higher satisfaction and business value.

This Manager role will report to the Director of Acquisition Experiences and will be based in New York. The candidate will be responsible for spearheading the US Consumer Acquisition Analytics, driving optimized experiences across our core acquisition journey domains.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic analyses to uncover actionable insights for the Prospect & Customer segments, focused on driving US Consumer Shop efficiency and therefore boost business revenue

  • Partner with the broader team closely to inform hypotheses, and drive the culture of experimentation on Consumer Shop

  • Spearhead analytics focused on creating best-in-class digital user experience & maximizing acquisition outcomes

  • Define and build KPIs to monitor performance of acquisition experiences

  • Support the development of new products and capabilities

  • Deliver readout of new launches uncovering insights and learnings that can be utilized to further optimize the journey

  • Managing the Content Square relationship, drive evolution & acceleration of use cases to optimize Enterprise value

Qualifications

  • Post graduate degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering or finance preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant analytics experience with a background in quantitative business analysis and statistical techniques; experience in risk analytics, digital analytics and design of experiments preferred

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate technical findings into business-relevant insights

  • Strong communication skills, with experience supporting storytelling efforts for diverse audiences

  • Excellent teamwork and thought leadership skills with experience collaborating with partners across the globe

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Adobe Analytics, data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, and experience with experimentation tools strongly preferred

  • Experience working on data integrations with partners, with a track record of consistently delivering results though developing advanced analytics and platforms

  • Depending on factors such as business unit requirements, the nature of the position, cost and applicable laws, American Express may provide visa sponsorship for certain positions.

Salary range

  • $123,000 - $215,250 per year
