The Role

As the Data Analysis and Insights Chapter, we support the Data Domain by blending expertise in business intelligence and advanced analytics with a passion for delivering results. In an agile structure, we partner with partner with squads and business partners to deliver data insights and ensure respective products or services are designed to the optimal standard. We ensure alignment on the 'what' and 'when' work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog. We collaborate as squad members and work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success. We are committed to developing our own expertise and knowledge to ensure we bring the latest thinking to our roles.

The Senior Manager, Adv Data Analysis and Insights acts as a domain expert who develops targeted research and insights required to support business decision making using advanced analytics and quantitative methods. This role leads complex projects with a functional divisional impact, demonstrates strategic thinking, tactical planning, and has strong understanding of advanced analytics and python skills. This role serves as key business communicator with senior leaders, sponsors, and peers, collaborating with them to create key findings for sophisticated business problems. The Senior Manager is an individual contributor and does not directly oversee staff.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor’s or equivalent Degree with 6+ years of experience working with data insight solutioning. Preferred BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

• Proficient in solving business problems using Business Statistics, Quantitative methods with ability to deliver speedy outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Proven experience using statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns for diagnostic and predictive analytics

• Expertise with data workflow tools, solid understanding of data and database concepts, tools, and technologies with ability to optimize and drive scale

• Expertise with writing and decoding SQL and Python scripts, and proven experience working with Python libraries

• Proficient with BI (Business Intelligence) and analytical tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI

• Takes a consultative approach understanding needs of others and regularly communicating ideas or suggestions in terms that lead to actionable outcomes and building lasting partnerships with stakeholders

• Understanding of BI product life cycle and experience working with large data sets, preferred

• Agile experience, preferred

• Presentation experience to Executive and Senior Leadership, preferred

• Financial services experience, preferred

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
