The Enterprise Digital Experiences (EDX) team brings together important global and enterprise-level digital assets including the Amex Mobile App and Web experiences (MYCA, Home Page, Navigation, Loyalty & Benefits). With our partners across the company, our objective is to become a more essential part of our customer’s digital lives.
Within EDX, our Emerging Digital Financial Experiences team manages consumer facing experiences for many of company’s growing products. We have experience responsibility for the Rewards Checking Account, the Amex High Yield Savings Account, Send & Split, and Amex Personal Loans. Additionally, we are also exploring product development of an acquisition framework aiming to simplify Amex’s product acquisition architecture and frontend experiences, particularly in our mobile app. The Senior Manager, Digital Product Owner, will be responsible for leading digital product development of features related to our remit across app and web. The role will also involve direct people leadership, with responsibility for managing an Associate Product Manager.
They will work in partnership with many partner teams within the Enterprise Digital Center of Excellence org and global lines of businesses. The role will involve a deep partnership with engineering, design, and analytics functions – leveraging systems thinking to create world class digital experiences and scalable frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Driving growth in engagement of our core digital experiences through defining best-in-class digital capabilities.
- Playing a critical role in defining, developing, and deploying new & emerging platform features across product lines.
- Leading the vision and execution of a new acquisition framework, including the modularization and standardization of financial product application components for improved front-end flexibility and efficiency.
- Partnering with teams across the organization to deploy digital functionality at scale, developing winning strategies for functional evolutions and improvements.
- Managing and mentoring an Associate Product Manager, including providing coaching, guidance, and support in day-to-day work and long-term development.
- Building and leveraging partnerships with other lines of businesses – creating strong relationships a bedrock of projects.
- Using a data-driven mindset – owning customer engagement and driving deep partnerships across the product development life cycle of emerging digital experiences.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Agile Product Management roles.
- Recent experience prioritizing work for a scrum team and using quantitative and qualitative data to drive backlog enhancements.
- Proven ability to maintain and drive a product strategy and lead an overall program of digital user experience improvements.
- Experience driving process flows and mapping to capabilities.
- Understanding how building relationships and managing stakeholders is additive to a great product.
- Experience delivering business results and influencing decisions.
- An ability to deal with a fast pace and changing needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical expertise in applicable front-end and back-end technologies across native mobile app and modern websites.
- Familiarity with application and onboarding journeys, including how A/B experimentation can be applied.
- Understanding of the evolving compliance and regulatory requirements and environment that Amex is a part of.
- Experience driving UI/UX and how to work with personas, wireframes, process flows and designing for mobility.
- Understanding of Design Thinking principles.
- Experience in matrix organizations and cross-functional environments.
- Adept at managing complicated technical requirements like APIs and fragmented data platform components.
Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
