As a Senior Manager of Product Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategy—a foundational capability and customer need underpinning the digital experiences we build for our Global Commercial Services (GCS) customers. You will drive both strategy and execution, ensuring IAM solutions enable seamless, secure, and scalable experiences across products and platforms.
In this role, you will collaborate with product, technology, architecture, and design teams to define strategies and deliver capabilities that balance security with usability. You will transform complex requirements into clear, actionable roadmaps, ensuring IAM solutions not only safeguard our customers but also empower their engagement with American Express products.
This role is ideal for a strategic yet execution-driven product leader who thrives in cross-functional environments, understands enterprise thinking, and is passionate about delivering trusted, customer-centric solutions at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the strategy for IAM capabilities across the GCS ecosystem, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business priorities
- Translate strategic vision into execution by developing clear roadmaps, leading prioritization, and managing delivery of IAM features
- Drive strong collaboration across business, product, engineering, design, risk, compliance, and additional cross-functional teams to prioritize and execute key initiatives
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing capabilities to improve scalability and better meet customer and business needs
- Take a big-picture perspective, ensuring IAM capabilities integrate seamlessly across multiple customer journeys and lines of business
- Leverage data-driven insights to refine experiences and capabilities
- Communicate product strategies and updates to senior leadership and key partners
- Occasional domestic travel
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in product management, product development, or a related field, with a strong focus on digital experiences and capabilities
- Proven track record of driving complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution
- Strong ability to collaborate across teams and drive alignment on priorities and execution
- Experience defining and delivering product roadmaps, managing multiple priorities while adapting to evolving business needs
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to guide decision-making
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and simplify complexity into clear, actionable plans
- Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across product, tech, and design organizations
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate vision, strategy, and outcomes to diverse audiences
- Bachelor's degree
Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
