American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is dedicated to the success of businesses big and small with the vision to be essential to our customers’ businesses every day. The Small Business Product Strategy and Card Features team sits within our GCS Small Business Products organization.
This team is responsible for identifying and delivering high-potential opportunities that create lasting multi-product relationships with high-value customers. Working across Card, Card Lending, Line of Credit, Banking, and Digital Experience teams, SBS Digital Strategy aligns the direction and purpose of the Small Business organization to support delivery of cross-product business digital experiences.
The Senior Manager, Digital Product Manager (Small Business) will play a key role in enhancing Small Business Membership through digital experiences that meet customer needs and drive cross-product adoption at scale. Specifically, this position will:
Responsibilities
Owns the end-to-end strategy and delivery of cross-product digital experiences including defining the role and objective of a Holistic Business Action Center by defining strategy, prioritizing features, and supporting delivery and implementation
Partner with SBS product line strategy team to realize opportunities for growth in the digital space
Explore opportunities to embed AI into net new experiences built for small business
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and market expansion
Monitor and analyze cross-product performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimization
Build business cases to evaluate strategic initiatives and present recommendations to senior leadership
Partner with Digital Experience teams to ensure product strategy aligns with customer experience goals
Partner with GCS Marketing to support value proposition creation and marketing strategies that align with product strategy and overall small business objectives
Qualifications
- Previous experience in business or product strategy, product management, digital product management, consulting or similar fields
- Strong strategic acumen, analytical skills, and a demonstrated ability to interpret business and industry trends to identify opportunities and recommendations
- Experience in product strategy development and go-to-market planning
- Strong understanding of card, digital banking products, and small business financial needs
- Excellent project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Comfort in ambiguity with an ability to learn quickly, “connect the dots”, challenge and innovate, and drive results
- Excellent relationship management skills - proven ability to build and strengthen relationships across all levels, both internally and externally. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools
- Bachelor’s degree
- NYC-based hybrid position
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- Financial services industry experience

The below represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Salary range
- $123,000 - $215,250 per year
