Job Description:

The Role

The Senior Manager role is a member of the Domain Finance Team delivering impactful and illuminating financial analysis to our business partners. The primary objective of the role will be to lead the line finance support and financial planning and analysis for the WI Emerging Domain to drive improved outcomes and financial results to the broader organization. The WI Emerging Domain focuses on Student Debt, Workplace Giving, and Advantage 401k offerings within Workplace Investing (WI). You will work closely with the assigned Finance VP, Product Areas Leaders and Sales Leaders for these businesses. You will partner closely with WI CoEs, including Tech Finance, Pricing, Decision Support & Analytics, and Costing to support analytics around sales projections, pricing analyses, new product/channel development plans, vendor expense management and cost behavior.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Economics; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of professional experience with a successful track record in financial modeling and analysis
  • Financial services experience; experience in benefits outsourcing (WI) a plus
  • Ability to combine a strategic business perspective with strong project management and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to 'tell the story' and communicate sophisticated financial information to influence executive decision making
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and presentation tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Thinkcell, etc.) and the ability to teach others
  • Confidence, business maturity, and presence to work independently and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, including interacting with and influencing senior management
  • Outstanding critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proactively building consultative relationships across Finance and the business
  • Ability to gain subject matter expertise in a short time period and apply institutional knowledge to business decisions and quality analytics
  • Flexibility, and resourcefulness to navigate several priorities in a deadline driven environment, having comfort with ambiguity
  • Ability to take initiative and seek creative solutions that challenge conventional approach
  • Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of financial results, including key drivers, emerging trends, and anomalies to share with senior management to guide effective decision making
  • Working with product teams to develop analyses supporting investment decision making
  • Providing ad hoc analysis for the Emerging product and sales and members of their senior management team
  • Using tools and business knowledge to continuously provide insightful information, reporting and analytics that evolve with changes in the business, including proactive thinking and analysis
  • Reviewing, analyzing and supervising business performance, synthesizing data, analyses, and conclusions into presentation form for senior management
  • Operating with a high degree of autonomy, serving as a proxy for the business Finance VP to various internal audiences

We deliver the data and analyses that help these groups understand what technology investments we are making and the impact those investments are having on our customers.
