Why This Role Rocks (Position Overview)
The Senior Manager of Analytics and AI provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the design, development, and execution of enterprise analytics, data science, and AI initiatives across Texas Roadhouse. This role is responsible for building and maturing the data and AI ecosystem—including advanced analytics capabilities, predictive modeling, applied AI use cases, and modern business intelligence solutions. The Senior Manager partners closely with cross-functional business teams, IT leadership, and Data Platform Engineering to define the analytics roadmap, deliver high-impact insights, and scale responsible AI solutions that enhance operational efficiency, guest experience, and business performance. This is a hybrid position that is based at our Support Center located in Louisville, Kentucky.
What’s On Your Plate (Responsibilities)
- Develops and executes the enterprise Analytics & AI strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Leads and mentors a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, AI/ML engineers, BI analysts, and data engineers.
- Prioritizes analytics initiatives through rigorous value assessment, risk evaluation, and stakeholder alignment.
- Establishes best practices and governance for advanced analytics, model lifecycle management, and responsible AI.
- Oversees development of predictive models, machine learning solutions, and AI-driven automation.
- Guides exploration, experimentation, and validation of advanced statistical and AI techniques.
- Ensures effective deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning of analytical models in production.
- Drives the creation of scalable frameworks and reusable components that accelerate analytics delivery.
- Leads the evolution of enterprise BI and self-service analytics using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure data tools.
- Ensures the delivery of accurate, timely insights that support decision-making across business functions.
- Collaborates with Data Platform and Engineering teams to ensure data availability, quality, and performance.
- Ensures responsible AI development including bias mitigation, model transparency, and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Manages workload distribution, project execution, and team capacity planning.
- Oversees analytics support processes, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Your Recipe for Success (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, analytics, engineering, or related discipline required.
- Master’s degree in analytics, data science, AI/ML, or business intelligence preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in analytics, data science, AI/ML, or related disciplines required.
- 3+ years of experience leading data science or analytics teams required.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Fabric, Synapse, Power BI, and modern cloud data ecosystems strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical topics into business-friendly insights.
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing analytics teams and deliver measurable business outcomes.
