The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The U.S. Consumer Marketing team (USCM) is part of the US Consumer Services Group and is responsible for making membership essential by creating and delivering outstanding marketing for our differentiated products and services that drives demand and inspires engaged card members across the customer lifecycle.
The Digital Demand Generation team, within USCM, is responsible for delivering best-in-class digital marketing through offsite marketing channels and external partnerships.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The Senior Manager, Paid Media will be responsible for shaping and leading strategy and execution plans for key Paid Digital Media marketing initiatives to drive efficient, scalable revenue growth. This role will focus on leveraging Paid Media to deepen engagement with existing customers and provide strategic leadership on contractual media across priority business partnerships. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and develop strategic media plans that directly connect to team strategy and enterprise priorities.
- Develop and manage relationships with external media and creative agencies, key external media partners and platforms, internal partnership/compliance stakeholders across the consumer business and internal media teams.
- Act as a thought leader around media in an AI future, including building test and learns for new capabilities/solutions.
- Lead a team of two direct reports responsible for end-to-end campaign execution, day-to-day channel management, budget, and forecasting activities across multiple fast paced business priorities.
- Collaborate with internal analytics stakeholders to create a robust channel learning agenda, build tests, optimize the program, and develop the performance narrative for the channel.
- Oversee execution of media campaigns tied to key business initiatives, including new product launches, limited time offers, new benefits, and more.
- Leverage internal and agency reporting to monitor campaign KPI performance.
- Lead with an external perspective by keeping abreast of industry trends and technologies, as well as maintaining relationships with Media teams across Amex, finding opportunities for collaboration.
- Identify opportunities to drive growth and evolve marketing, including but not limited to launching new channels, partners, creative, messaging, audiences, and segmentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7-8+ years of relevant paid media or digital performance marketing experience
- 2+ years of experience managing direct reports
- Media strategy and planning or buying experience at an agency
- Ability to take strategic direction and lead a team of direct reports effectively
- Strong ability to manage up, staying aligned upwards and managing workload across the team
- Self-starter with an ability to navigate the organization, processes and media execution independently
- Strong analytical skills combined with an ability to clearly communicate results and learnings

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in highly regulated industry a plus

Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
