Position: Senior Principal Scientist , Immunology In Vivo Pharmacology

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Senior Principal Scientist or Associate Director to lead our Immunology in vivo Pharmacology team and drive the in vivo strategy supporting Immunology programs at all stages, from discovery through development. This leadership role is critical to advancing our portfolio and ensuring robust scientific support for candidate selection, human dose projection, biomarker identification, and life cycle management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the Immunology in vivo Pharmacology team, providing scientific and strategic direction.
  • Identify and implement appropriate PK/PD and disease models to support clinical candidate selection, human dose projection, biomarker identification, and life cycle management.
  • Design and oversee in vivo and ex vivo studies to assess target engagement and pharmacodynamic endpoints.
  • Contribute to portfolio strategy discussions and foster external collaborations to advance program objectives.
  • Communicate scientific findings effectively across multidisciplinary teams and to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 10 years of post-PhD experience.
  • Extensive industry research experience within the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology sector is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting portfolio strategy discussions and managing external collaborations.
  • Deep knowledge of the Immunology/Inflammation therapeutic area, with a strong in vivo background.
  • Prior hands-on experience with animal models of autoimmune diseases is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of PK/PD assessments and proven experience designing ex vivo studies for pharmacodynamic and target engagement endpoints.
  • Strong scientific and managerial skills, with a proven track record of leadership, collaboration, and excellent communication.
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $181,930 - $220,500 plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation is decided based on demonstrated experience.
