We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the FOLBS (Fidelity Online Brokerage Services) Product Area to develop high-quality applications servicing Capital Markets and other business units. You will have the opportunity to be part of the team to modernize this critical application that allows the firm to manage many types of risks.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
You are experienced with a variety of modern programming languages and frameworks.
3+ years of experience working with JSP, HTML, CSS/SASS, jQuery, Java, Angular, Springboot, Oracle, Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS -EKS.
3+ years of experience supporting webservices/API’s
Experienced in developing enterprise-wide sophisticated applications in Java-Spring Frameworks, Angular on a UNIX/Linux platform
Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Maven, Jenkins, GIT, Docker, etc.)
Data Analysis skills will be a plus. Writing SQL queries and debugging stored procedures within a SQL Server environment
Working knowledge of most common operating systems (Linux, Windows, Ubuntu)
Understanding of docker, cloud-computing/cloud services platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)
Hands on experience developing & Integrating Cloud Computing API’s (AWS preferred)
You have strong communication skills and technical expertise to drive and influence in meaningful discussions with partners across business and architecture.
Experience with Agile development practices and the value they bring to development teams
Proven ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
Background in brokerage trading applications/systems a plus
