The Role
Fidelity Institutional (FI) is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with Dev Ops experience to join the Integrated Portfolio Construction team to implement innovative solutions for financial advisors using the latest technology in an engaging environment. You will play a leading role in the Agile development of analytical tools used in the portfolio construction process. These tools will be used by not only members of the Fidelity Institutional Wealth Adviser (FIWA) Investment team but also partners across FI in discussions with external clients. The Expertise and Skills You Bring

B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.

6+ years of professional software development and DevOps experience.

Experience leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs.

Experience with Java Spring Boot web services development.

Experience with ETL frameworks, databases and SQL.

Experience with DevOps principles and activities.

Experience with test automation frameworks.
-
Experience with AWS services.

Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins.

Experience using source control and pull requests for development in code repository systems including GitHub.
The Team
The mission of FIWA is to enable FI to provide advice driven investment solutions through high-value products, tools, and research insights. The FIWA Investment team comprises the following groups: Equity, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, ESG, and Alternative Investments Manager Research; Portfolio Engineering; and Portfolio Construction Tools & Analytics. The Teams work together to propel our clients’ wealth management strategies with Fidelity and our third-party asset management partners.
Please see the below pay rate range for the work location of Rhode Island only: $62.68-$102.68 per hour.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
