Job Description:

Fidelity Investments is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Authentication Controls team within Enterprise CyberSecurity. This team provides Single Sign-On (SSO) and multi-factor authentication capabilities for hundreds of applications servicing the needs of the Fidelity workforce.

The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems/Science, or a closely related field.

  • Minimum of five years of IT experience in systems engineering or infrastructure support

  • Experience supporting modern authentication standards such as:

    • SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), OAuth 2.0, FIDO2/WebAuthn

    • Using platforms like Ping Identity and Microsoft Entra ID.

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and network infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of Active Directory, SCIM and JWT.

  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Experience working in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a commitment to the highest levels of quality.

The following skills / experience are highly preferable for this role:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as:

    • (Python, PowerShell, Bash/Shell)

  • Ability to automate tasks, perform log analysis, and integrate with APIs using scripts.

  • Experience with:

    • Full stack development (front-end and back-end)

    • Version control tools (e.g., Git)

    • DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.

  • A cyber security certification, such as (AZ-104, SC-300, CompTIA, AWS sysops).

The Team

Your role in the Authentication Controls team will see you supporting SSO products from the main industry vendors in a scaled, distributed, highly available environment. These solutions enable business units throughout Fidelity to offer SSO services in a secure and highly reliable manner, ensuring they in turn can provide products and services to the standards expected by Fidelity customers.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
