Fidelity Charitable is looking for a Senior User Experience Designer who is passionate about making charitable giving simple and effective. We are crafting digital experiences that inspire Fidelity Charitable donors to make more of a difference with their philanthropic dollars. It’s a fast-paced environment where decisions are customer-centric, data-focused, collaborative, and iterative.
The Team
This role is part of the UXD & Digital Experience team creating experiences for donors, advisors, and internal associates. This role supports 2 agile teams and will work with their squads daily while reporting to the Director of Design. You’ll partner with analysts, business strategists, and developers to bring the work to life.
The Expertise You Have
- 7-10+ years of UX experience preferred
- 5+ years on agile teams delivering value in digital products preferred
- Experience organizing, conducting, and/or using research to support evidence-focused design decisions a must
- A digital portfolio we can review online is required
The Skills You Bring
- Ability to understand and empathize with customer needs, motivations and behaviors, and translate them into compelling design
- A drive to design the overall end-to-end user experience – from the big picture (the overall user experience and consistency across an entire product) down to specifics of UI layout for a feature or flow
- Ability to create sketches, wireframes, user flows, mockups, prototypes, and other product artifacts to effectively communicate the why behind your designs while aligning with product requirements
- An array of design skills, which might include visual, conversational, information architecture, prototyping, strategic design methods (such as design thinking), user research, or writing
- Must have experience with and be comfortable working in a rapid, iterative software development process
- Effective communication as a writer, presenter, and facilitator with the ability to give and receive feedback as a collaborator within various teams and design skill levels
- Familiarity with the value of design systems, understanding reuse and scale, and knowing when to contribute to make them better
- Creativity, imagination, and curiosity
- Meticulous and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Operational understanding of digital tools like Figma, Jira, and Confluence preferred
