The Purpose of Your Role

We build and give to Fidelity’s platform. As a Softwre Engineer in Test, you will be an integral member of a dynamic team continuously improving our cloud deployment platform, automating all the things, in support of our rapidly expanding product portfolio. You’ll have the opportunity to own entire features from concept to deployment working on multi-functional teams, bring ideas to improve our products as well as develop your skills, learn new technologies and languages, and continue to learn. The Skills You Bring

  • Understand and analyze the business requirement based on provided wireframes and user stories, design and build effective test strategy and test cases that include unit, integration, load and functional tests.
  • Apply elicitation techniques, utilize various modeling such as process modeling, data modeling, system modeling, example mapping, to gather information at the right level of detail and scope to represent all of the stakeholder’s needs.
  • Create functional & Regression automation script using Selenium, Cucumber, Java, JavaScript, Cypress and Playwright for the UI component and API automation suite using Java REST Assured, JMeter, Swagger & Postman.
  • Knowledge/expertise in Test Automation pyramid, Service Virtualization, Accessibility Test & Mutation Testing
  • Integrate the tests maintained in GitHub with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipeline using Jenkins with an Acceptance Test-Driven development (ATDD) approach.
  • Updating and maintaining various test artifacts in the Test Automation Framework depending on the changes required.
  • Perform automation testing of event streaming service using Kafka Clients.
  • Perform extensive System Integration, End to End and performance testing of applications developed in Angular and Node.js.
  • Work in an agile environment with 2-week sprint cycles that consist of sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint review and retrospective.
  • Create QA automation stories, subtasks and track issues in JIRA to ensure fulfillment of all the acceptance criteria of the Sprint user stories.
  • Strategize quality optimally with engineering teams, mentor and guide teams' testing activities.www.fidelitytalentsource.com
  • Perform both black box and white box testing of Client's internal and customer-facing applications by analyzing applications and requirements and designing and executing test cases.
  • Work with QA team members, software developers, system and database administrators to trouble-shoot test failures in the various test environments including trouble-shooting database issues using SQL queries, reviewing web server and application server logs etc.
  • Create and maintain test cases in Test case management tools like Xray with JIRA integration in place.
  • Identifying the performance testing plans and approaches to track the application performances in different network speeds using various tracking tools.
  • · Own the testing strategy, participate in the application design efforts, and design reviews.
  • Contribute to improving engineering practices in the areas of BDD, ATDD and CI/CD.
  • Engage in working with a global team of developers in leading standard methodologies for software testing.
  • Good Understanding of Responsive testing to ensure web applications renders and functions correctly across various devices, screen sizes, and orientations.
