The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated software engineer in test who can support our Contact Center team in multiple ways such as IVR functional testing, API testing, automation testing, CI/CD build out, and analysis. The outcome of this role will elevate the efficiency and speed at which Fidelity not only delivers stable products but delivers quality to our customers.
The Team
The COE in Quality Engineering resides in the Enterprise Technology in Enterprise Customer Contact Center (EC3) business unit of Fidelity Investments. The COE consists of 20 quality, performance, and capacity engineers with a passion around customer experience and with the engineering tool set to seek challenges including: Functional testing, automated testing, performance testing, chaos testing, application cloud migration and management, CI/CD implementation, security testing and application development. The COE provides domain specialists to squads who develop products with the highest customer quality, security, stability, and experience. This role will directly support the Contact Center team and supports the IVR applications utilized by our customers to communicate with Fidelity resources. The supported applications include but are not limited to Voice applications, API based applications, and cloud-based solutions.
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in software development or quality engineering with strong automation focus.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with Empirix Hammer or CallMaster for telecom/IVR testing (highly desired).
- Prior exposure to telecom, contact center, or IVR application testing.
- Experience with automation frameworks and libraries such as: Junit, Selenium / TestNG, Playwright, TestRunner frameworks
- Experience with API testing tools like Rest Assured or Karate.
- Hands-on experience testing distributed applications end-to-end.
- Familiarity with AWS services including VPC, S3, Lambda, SQS, and SNS.
- Experience in testing distributed applications across multiple layers of the tech stack.
- Partner with DevOps teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
- Create and maintain test data for complex testing scenarios.
- Analyze system requirements, architectures, and technical specifications for testability.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments and tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to improve processes and enhance product quality.
- Conduct static code analysis using tools like SonarQube.
- Contribute to quality standards, engineering best practices, and cross?team improvements.
- Ability to work across teams in matrixed environments and deliver within sprint schedules.
Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
