Organizational Relationships:
• Key member of the Procurement team and will contribute widely to the development of process and capability of the entire Procurement function.
• Internally, interacts with senior and functional management as well as a broad array of stakeholders across the organization.
• Externally, interfaces with incumbent and potential suppliers
• Internally, Accounting, Purchasing and Sales
Job Responsibilities:
• Purchase the appropriate goods and services as required by our stakeholders in a timely manner
• Coordinate the timely return of damaged and/or improperly shipped goods with suppliers
• Apply creative methods to negotiate with suppliers to obtain the optimum value both professionally and ethically
• Work closely with operations and maintenance personnel to assure their needs are being met
• Administer the Coupa Procure to Pay system, review late open orders and contact suppliers to expedite delivery
• Develop and enhance long-term supplier relationships within a win-win environment
• Manage match exceptions and invoice reconciliations
• Act as a liaison between procurement, corporate stakeholders and dealership management on initiatives related to field level transactions and agreements
• Identify and support productivity initiatives resulting in best quality, at best value
• Work with internal stakeholders to streamline the buying procedures within the Coupa procure to pay system
• Support inventory initiatives as required
• Prepare and solicit bids and quotations as needed
• Support vendor managed inventory programs
• Maintain supplier business relationships
• Support the category management function with analytics identifying potential sourcing opportunities
• Analyze responses to requests for proposal in support of the category management function
• Perform other job-related functions as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background, skills, and experience
• 3-5 years progressively responsible experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field
• High degree of judgment, independent decision making, and a keen focus on customer service required.
• Effectively communicates and interacts across all levels of the organization including Store and Regional Teams, Corporate Management and Senior Leadership.
• Excellent communications and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of Procurement analytics, eSourcing and Procure to Pay systems i.e., Ariba, SpendHQ, Coupa, Simfoni, etc. Expertise in advanced functionality of the MS Office Suite.
• Automotive dealership and/or parts experience is preferred but not required.
