Spanish Dual Language Teacher- FTUIW MissionPosition SummarySt. Anthony Catholic High School (SACHS), a division of the University of the Incarnate Word, seeks a Spanish dual language teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. This position requires strong oral and written proficiency in Spanish. All teachers are expected to teach within the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School and our core values of Honesty & Integrity; Community; Service & Social Justice; Scholarship; and Holistic Education. SACHS is a private college preparatory Catholic high school. Position reports to the Principal.Essential FunctionsJob DutiesKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Knowledge of core academic subject assigned.• Demonstrates oral and written proficiency both in English and the target language.• Demonstrates an understanding of the socio-cultural perspectives of peoples and countries of the target language.• Knowledge of and ability to apply best practices for classroom management.• Knowledge of and ability to differentiate instruction and apply academic accommodations.• Ability to communicate effectively in the target language by providing clear, concise instruction using academic language.• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.• Strong technology skills.Required EducationBachelor's Degree from accredited university.Required Work ExperienceOne (1) year experience teaching students at the high school level.Preferred Qualifications• Native or near-native Spanish speaker.• Previous high school teaching experience.• Specialization in social studies or theology/religious studies.• Bilingual teacher certification.Required Certifications, Licenses or RegistrationsThe Archdiocese of San Antonio requires non-certified teachers to have 12 college credit hours of education.
