Job Title: Squad Leader

The Purpose of this Role

As the squad lead in the compliance space requires the deep understanding on the asset management domain, as this product area touches all the asset classes and Advisor. Any prior working on the investment & regulatory compliance and trading workflows will be preferred.

As the Squad Lead, you are the end-to-end gatekeeper of the squad roadmap, strategy, and execution while delivering on the strategic priorities. In an agile structure, you will partner with other global Fidelity leaders to influence the broader strategic decisions, roadmaps, and resource requirements, set and refine the mission, and bring together a team of chapter members to execute on specific product features. You will ensure alignment on the “what” and “when” work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog. You will enable squad members to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success. You are committed to developing your own expertise and domain depth to ensure you bring the latest thinking to your role. Since this is a senior grade and leadership role, this position may require leading an initiative that spans across squads within the product area.

The Value You Deliver

  • Driving the charter for the squad and eventually helping the product area initiatives - demonstrate strong ownership with different business stakeholders to arrive at a mission and overall objectives laid out as time-based milestones, execute the strategy with the squad to accomplish the outcome with timely communication and update to the stake holders.
  • Have the strong understanding of different business workflows of Compliance business, established network within Technology and Business organizations to drive the outcome.
  • Has driven product area initiatives in the past and would bring all the experience to execute the strategic initiative across tech and business stakeholders.
  • Defining, refining, and communicating the squad’s mission and roadmap to motivate and establish team and partner support and alignment
  • Anticipating, discovering through ongoing interaction with, and prioritizing client/partner needs to serve as their voice and guide execution of the team
  • Defining, evaluating, and communicating results against acceptance criteria
  • Inspecting and evaluating progress, and removing impediments
  • Measuring performance against established objectives that deliver on agreed-upon business, technology, and people results
  • Collaborating and coordinating with Chapter Leaders and Scrum Masters to build squad capacity and capability and enabling squad member growth, development, and learning
  • Making informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelines
  • Collaborating with the team and hence report out the project milestones and commitments to the stakeholders and timely report the progress made thereof.

The Team

The role is to support the Compliance, Regulatory and Business Operations Business, supporting, product area leader, other Squad Leaders, Scrum Masters, and Chapter Leaders. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors, you sustain and evolve our innovative agile culture.

  • Understanding and Knowledge of Asset management Business
  • Good understanding on the Investment Compliance business domain
  • Understanding on the trading product line of any asset class

  • Take a data-focused approach to understanding customer needs, translate strategic objectives into action, and prioritize to improve value delivered
  • Have coordinated E2E testing with cross partners.
  • Grasp sophisticated product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria and optimally communicate these
  • Capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building high-performing teams
  • Continuously improve and encourage an agile way of working
  • Establish and maintain unquestioning relationships as you work multi-functionally across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes and seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approach

  • Proven experience with minimum viable product definition and product backlog management

AM Tech is a global organization of technologists based in the United States, London, India, and Ireland. Supporting multiple business functions in Investment Management and Advisory domain like Portfolio Management, Research & Trading.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in either Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Mathematics or Finance related field; CFA / CFP designation or post-graduate degree in finance or a related field a plus
  • > 5 years awareness of Agile delivery environments and 15+ years of experience in end-to-end technology solution delivery
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic products and solutions
  • Financial services experience preferred
  • Jira and Jira Align experience preferred
  • Experience in the Asset Management industry and Managed Account Domain is must

Location: Bangalore – Embassy Golf Links Business Park, (EGL)

Shift timings: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
