Job Description
Job-Specific Responsibilities:
Lead admissions operations and planning that may include applicant recruitment and evaluation, event planning, data analysis and policy and workflow development. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Admissions & Financial Aid, this position is responsible for the oversight and management of all admissions operations and processes, including design, implementation, management, and improvement. This position also serves as a key member of the admissions leadership team, developing policy, determining strategy, and collaborating across departments to ensure alignment with institutional priorities. Working as a team with the Sr. Associate Director of Recruitment and Assistant Dean for Admissions & Financial Aid, responsible for strategic planning and initiatives designed to increase overall number, quality, and diversity of the applicant pool.
- Oversee all admissions technology and processes (e.g., CRM, automated emails, online application, decision notification, etc.) in Technoloutions Slate - 25%
- Strategic planning for recruitment, application review, yield, and enrollment - 15%
- Collaborates internally and with marketing and IT colleagues to maintain office web presence, including public-facing admissions pages and admitted student website. - 10%
- Collaborate with Assistant Dean for Admissions and Financial Aid to update, maintain, and enforce Admissions policy, including application and enrollment policies.15%
- Assess and evaluate admission and enrollment activities to develop and implement action plans for improving and streamlining processes.15%
- Manage office operating budget 5%
- Responsible for effective staff management, including hiring and orientation, training and development, workflow and performance management, and the promotion of an inclusive and innovative work environment. 10%
- Develop and analyze reports and metrics to monitor admissions and recruitment trends; recommend strategies to improve yield.5%

Physical Requirements:
- Sitting using near vision use for reading and computer use for extended periods of time
- Lifting (approximately 20 to 30 pounds), bending, and other physical exertion
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience
- Travel is required for this role
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- Experience with Slate CRM and/or similar technology.

Additional Qualifications and Skills:
- Supervisory experience
- Master’s degree in relevant field preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills
- Advanced knowledge of admissions principles
- Communication skills (both written and verbal)
Additional Information
- Standard Hours/Schedule: 35 hours per week
- Compensation Range/Rate (including Shift Differential if applicable): Target hiring range for this position is $95,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience.

Work Format Details
This position has been determined by school or unit leaders that some of the duties and responsibilities can be effectively performed at a non-Harvard location. The work schedule and location will be set by the department at its discretion and based upon operational needs. When not working at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location, employees in hybrid positions must work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
