Sr. Civil Design Project Manager
AI Engineers, Inc. (AIE) is looking for a Sr. Civil Project Engineer to join our Transportation Design teams based in Middletown, CT and New York, NY. This is an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, highly-organizedcivil design engineering professional with storm water and drainage experience to manage design, reporting, production plans, and estimates on state and municipal projects. Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required 10+ years experience performing and managing design. Professional Engineer (PE) registration in CT & NY or ability to obtain within 6 months. Experience managing and delivering State and Local client projects, preferred Experience managing and mentoring engineering staff. Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads and Hydrology/Hydraulic Software preferred
Responsibilities
Manage design, reporting, productions, specifications, estimates, etc. for state and local clients. Develop design plans including horizontal and vertical alignment, drainage, grading, erosion/sediment control, storm water management, roads, utilities (i.e. water, sewer, storm drain and cross section for both State and Local sector clients.) Lead large-scale projects with multiple disciplines and subconsultants. Coordinate design development and assist with technical direction to other design staff. Implement and/or conduct QA/QC procedures of Civil/Site tasks and projects. Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget. Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages. Developing design plans, including construction staging/traffic control plans, signing & pavement marking plans. Establish working relationships and interfacing with client technical staff and project managers. Prepare scope, budget, and schedule for clients as well as internally. Prepare invoicing and complete billing for assigned projects. Train and/or mentor junior staff Assist with client engagement and marketing activities. Site feasibility evaluations and assessments, and constructability evaluation.
