The Purpose of This Role
Lead Database Developer for the Workplace Investment team will be responsible for crafting and driving implementation of applications/ framework using Oracle, SQL Server, Informatica, Control-M.
This technology group provides outstanding development and maintenance support to the overall Workplace Investment organization.

- Developing and crafting robust high per-performance database solutions.
- Assessing and researching current implementations of the platform and determining the course of action required to elevate the platform to meet customer needs.
- Taking the business requirements coupled with existing architecture to set a technical vision for features and major components and clearly articulating the evolutionary steps to achieve it.

- Your experience in PL/SQL programming including packages, procedures, function and triggers.
- Your ability to optimize sophisticated queries and design efficient solutions.
- Your experience working in enterprise environments with version control and deployment standards.
- Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills with detail-oriented mindset.
- Your experience in ETL build and development.
- Your experience with data base such as Oracle (Primary), SQL server.
- Your knowledge of Containerization and cloud deployment related to Database.
- Ability to build communication and rapport with partners, stakeholders.
- Ability to take initiative, define vision for improvement of products, and execute at high level of quality

The Workplace Investing (WI) Platform technology group within Fidelity Investments is tasked to develop and maintain technology solutions supporting Fidelity's Defined Contribution (DC) business. The platform serves plan sponsors in the configuration of their DC plans and operates in a mixed-technology environment (Java, Spring, Angular, Oracle, ETL) across multiple tiers (web server, app server, DB).
The Expertise we’re looking for
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar subject.
- 7-10 years of experience in information technology.
- Financial services experience, preferably in retirement Domain.
- Certification in relevant technologies is preferred.
