Senior Director Human Resources Business Partner, Global Supply Chain, GPS Chief of Staff and Manati Site HRBP
This high-impact role in the People Organization at Bristol-Myers Squibb offers the opportunity to partner with senior executives in the Global Product Development & Supply (GPS) organization and drive transformational talent strategies.
As a strategic business partner, this role plays a pivotal role in anticipating and solving complex organizational and talent challenges, aligning people strategies with business priorities and fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, innovation, inclusion and belonging.
In addition to providing strategic consultant partnership to the Global Supply Chain, Chief of Staff and Manati Biologics Manufacturing site’s leadership teams, this role will also lead multi-disciplinary initiatives of highly strategic relevance across GPS and potentially BMS overall.
This role reports to the VP, HRBP Global Business Unit and can be located in either Lawrenceville or New Brunswick in New Jersey, US.
Position Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted partner to GPS Functional Leaders and their respective Leadership teams to influence business performance and foster collaboration and enterprise mindset.
- Anticipate external trends, influence and translate business strategy and organizational needs into innovative people solutions including organizational design, inclusion, engagement, succession & talent management, change management and culture evolution.
- Collaborate across the HR Operating Model (COE’s, People Services) to deliver strategic workforce solutions to drive impact across the functions and seams.
- Leverage data-driven insights and business intelligence to run diagnostics, shape workforce strategies and build future-ready capabilities
- Champion Change Leadership, ensuring successful implementation of organizational programs that drive measurable outcomes
- Lead by example and act as a role model to our BMS Values of Integrity, Innovation, Urgency, Passion, Accountability, and Inclusion in every aspect of the role.
Required Experience
- 15+ years of progressive HR Leadership experience, in multinational, matrixed organizations
- Track record of influencing and consulting at executive level, driving business impact through people strategies
- Demonstrated success in innovation-driven companies, where agility, trust and strategic partnerships drive transformational results.
- Expertise in global talent solutions, navigating global teams and organizational complexity
Degree/Certification/Licensure
- College/University BA/BS Degree, Advanced Degree preferred.
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills Abilities
- Business Partnering: Extensive experience as an HR business partner with significant leadership skills
- Change Champion: Broad experience in developing and implementing transformational change initiatives and driving organization performance. Demonstrated ability to proactively anticipate and manage business issues and take initiative to drive necessary change with a growth mindset
- Senior Leader and matrix navigation: Demonstrated success in working effectively at senior management levels to impact and influence decision making. Experience in working effectively within a matrixed environment and building alignment in a global cross functional and team environment.
- Multi-cultural citizenship: Proven ability to work across multiple countries and cultures in a global environment.
- Translating Business Strategy into highly effective People Solutions: Demonstrated strength in business and organizational acumen by using insights about the business environment to improve talent and business outcomes. Demonstrated skills in applying workforce planning knowledge, engagement and inclusion strategies, and talent & succession management.
This role requires regular travel to Manati, Puerto Rico (estimated 10%).
