Job Summary:

The Sr. Director, Marketing holds ultimate responsibility for the strategic marketing activities and revenue goals of the Astound Business Solutions group and will lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies aimed at driving business growth and strengthening Astound Business Solutions position in the telecommunications industry. The role is the primary liaison to the Corporate Marketing team, working collaboratively on brand strategy and representing the Commercial Services interests on corporate campaigns and projects. The Sr. Director, Marketing will also interface with local systems and serve as an advisor and consultant to the respective SMB teams with the goal of increasing SMB subscribers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategy for Commercial Services that align with business objectives, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, revenue growth and market expansion
  • Represent Commercial Services on brand strategy development
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Interface with local systems and SMB counterparts
  • Create and execute internal and external Marketing Communication strategies for Commercial Services consistent with overall Corporate style and approach
  • Develop the marketing strategy for new and existing products
  • Campaign Development: Oversee implementation of the Marketing strategy by conducting thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape - including campaigns, events, digital/social marketing, direct marketing, public relations, branding, content strategy and creation, promotions/offers/pricing, and product launches
  • Manage and maintain business analytics for marketing campaigns and adjust plans based on findings to optimize performance.
  • Support the sales regions; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing appropriate tools, materials and presentations
  • Guide the day-to-day activities of the marketing team.
  • Ensure, measure and track the marketing objectives are implemented by the marketing team.
  • Develop Go-To-Market strategies for products, solutions, and Commercial Services as a whole
  • Manage Marketing budget to ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize return on investment
  • Work closely with product management team to define marketing strategy, materials and programs
  • Develop the Marketing strategy, support and ensure plan implementation for the Partner, Carrier/Wholesale team, the GEMS and Cell Backhaul teams
  • Enhance customer relationship management and processes; develop and document customer journey
  • Oversee social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and business trends
  • Maintain knowledge of evolving marketing trends, developments and best practices, providing recommendations and applying learnings to marketing campaigns.
  • Develop strategies to drive connects and revenue
  • Create standalone initiatives that drive activities
  • Strategize project to establish positioning within markets and recommending new tactics, channels and vendor partnerships for positive results
  • Manage outside vendors and events support as needed
  • Create Sales Enablement programs, campaigns, and initiatives to help educate the sales force on products, market/business landscape, buyer personas, account-based marketing and sales skills
  • Drive Awareness of Commercial Services in the market and within the company
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing (preferably in B2B) with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the telecommunications industry (preferred industry).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive business growth.
  • Direct marketing experience utilizing behavior modeling to drive sales through targeted segmentation, offers, positioning and creative formats/media.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing including paid and organic media, content creation and brand management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of marketing professionals.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
  • Highly productive and prioritizes multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated competency in writing, proof-reading, and creative production.
  • Helps facilitate a harmonious team environment.
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn and understand the industry and company products.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, collaboration and problem solving skills

Base Salary: The base salary range in Washington, California, Oregon, Massachusetts, New York, Maryland and Illinois for this position is $165,000 - $205,000 per year, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. It is specific to Washington, California, Oregon, Massachusetts, New York, Maryland and Illinois and may not be applicable to other locations.
