Membership Portfolio Services, within our US Consumer Services Business, is responsible for developing and scaling several growing businesses that are strategically important to American Express. We are developing unique and differentiated ways to strengthen the Membership Model by connecting Card Members with Merchants that create opportunities to help drive our growth over the mid-to-long term.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The Sr Manager, Amex Offers Industry & Growth Marketingrole sits within the Amex Offers Digital Media team. The role will report to the Director, Amex Offers Go-to-Market Strategy and Enterprise Initiatives and will be responsible for our industry event strategy, ensuring we have a robust and strategic presence at important events year-round, and relevant presence in the media. The role plays an important part in ensuring Amex Offers has the attention from the industry to grow awareness and interest in our offerings.

- Lead the industry development of Amex Offers, building the strategy for conference, trade show and publications where driving Amex Offers awareness is critical to growth.
- Partner closely with Corporate Affairs and Communications to build surround sound coverage, ensuring Amex Offers brand voice and value is present in contextually relevant places
- Develop insightsin close partnership with Analytics to create and deliver approved claims about Amex Offersfor use in industry events and media to earn placements and strengthen perception
- Deliver innovative test and learn programs in partnership with Consumer Marketing to drive value for Merchant advertisers,including prospect and social media influencer campaigns
- Create event recaps, learnings, and recommendations to socialize and optimize future implementation
- Conduct thorough risk and compliance processes with proper controls
- Ensure all aspects of the American Express Code of Conduct are adhered to so that we uphold the highest standards in our interactions with our customers and compliantly to meet all regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years marketing experience, including but not limited to; trade show, public relations, traditional and innovative media
- Superior organization and planning skills are essential, detail oriented with ability to think “end-to-end”
- Strong sense of integrity with ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain complete confidentiality
- Excellent oral and written communication with the ability to translate strategic thinking into effective presentations
- Experience operating with large cross-functional teams, internal and external partners
- Highly collaborative with a demonstrated ability to partner for results and influence effectively across the organization; ability to develop and harness a strong network of colleagues to deliver results
- Excellent project management, organizational and process/workflow skills
- Ability to efficiently prioritize, solve problems independently, escalate appropriately, manage tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong strategic and intellectual capability combined with creative/innovative thinking
- A results driven individual with experience of marketing is ideal
- Team player, comfortable working in “white space” and willing to take on incrementalresponsibilities
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Bachelor’s Degree required
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
