JOB SUMMARY:
Hyosung is seeking a Sr. Manager, Total Rewards to own our benefits programs and build the foundation of our compensation function. This is a hands-on role that balances day-to-day program execution with strategic recommendations. On the benefits side, this role manages programs, vendors, and open enrollment end-to-end. On the compensation side, this role will establish core infrastructure, including job descriptions, market analysis, and job leveling, and will make recommendations to HR leadership on compensation strategy as the function matures. This role partners closely with HR leadership, HR Operations, Recruiting, and Finance in support of a workforce of approximately 1,100+ employees, the majority of whom are field service engineers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Compensation (Foundational Build)
● Develop and maintain standardized job descriptions across the organization in partnership with HR leadership and business leaders
● Conduct market analysis using salary survey data and other market sources to benchmark roles and assess pay competitiveness
● Develop a job leveling framework that establishes consistent levels, titles, and career progression across functions
● Identify and escalate potential FLSA exempt/non-exempt classification questions surfaced through job description and leveling work
● Make recommendations to HR leadership on foundational compensation strategy, including pay positioning and priorities for future program development
● Support annual compensation planning and provide guidance on new hire offers, promotions, and pay adjustments in partnership with Recruiting and Finance

●Manage benefits programs end-to-end, including plan administration, vendor and broker relationships, and annual renewals
●Lead annual open enrollment, including planning, employee communications, and coordination with carriers and HR Operations
●Oversee leave of absence programs, including compliance and carrier coordination, partnering with the Director of HR on matters involving employee relations or accommodations
●Partner with HR Operations on workers' compensation claims and carrier coordination
●Support benefits compliance requirements (e.g., ACA reporting, COBRA, required notices) in partnership with vendors and the benefits broker
●Provide employee benefits education and resolve escalated benefits inquiries, including those routed through the HR Operations mailbox
HR Projects & Initiatives
●Lead or support cross-functional HR projects as assigned (e.g., system implementations, compensation structure development, benefits plan changes)
●Partner with HR leadership on special initiatives requiring compensation and benefits expertise
●Prepare reporting and analysis on compensation and benefits costs, trends, and program effectiveness for HR leadership
Working Relationships & Expectations
●Reports to the Head of HR, with a dotted-line partnership to the Director of HR for compensation and benefits inquiries received through HR Operations
●Partners closely with Recruiting on offers and pay consistency, and with Finance on budgeting and compensation changes
●Maintains strict confidentiality and discretion when handling compensation, benefits, and employee data
●Participates in ongoing employee development initiatives, including training on new functions, webinars, and onsite learning
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED
•Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field
•5+ years of progressive compensation and benefits experience
•Hands-on experience managing benefits programs, vendors, and broker relationships
•Working knowledge of compensation fundamentals, including job evaluation, market pricing, and job leveling

•Working knowledge of benefits and wage-and-hour regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, FMLA, FLSA)
•Advanced Excel and analytical skills
•Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential information
PREFERRED
•CEBS, CCP, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification
•Experience with ADP
•Experience building compensation programs or infrastructure in a developing function
•Experience with salary survey tools and market data sources
