Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting/pushing/moving objects (boxes, equipment) up to 20 lbs, sitting for long periods of time. Repetitive motion typical of desk work (sitting/bending/typing/twisting); prolonged exposure to screen time.



Shift

Flexible. M-F 9:00am – 5:00pm. Some evenings and weekends are possible



Job Summary

The Intake Coordinator is vital to maintaining and promoting a positive relationship with the referral base for the UK Neurosurgery Department. Among other duties, this position serves as the liaison between referring providers and the providers within UK Neurosurgery to ensure timely appointments and exchange of information.

This position will be primarily responsible for supporting the incoming referral line for the department of neurosurgery, uploading and transcribing referral orders into epic. Sorting work queues to service lines within the department. Obtaining imaging from outside of the UK healthcare enterprise.






Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Prior EPIC software, adobe, rightfax experience, <1 year customer service experience. Medical setting experience preferred. Administrative experience preferred. Minimum high school degree required.
